Pirate Princess

This card uses the new "Playful Pirates" stamp set from TAC and DCWV Rock Star stack. Fun combo! I used Sharpies to color the metalic paper and Staz On ink to stamp the image.

This is a Valentine card for my sweet step-daughter. She is into the "pirate" fad too. I found a cute hoodie-shirt with pirates printed on it for her too. Can't beat that! A card with a matching shirt! LOL

Valentine's Day!

This past weekend I hosted a Mystery Hostess party and Valentine's Class.

We made two Valentine's Day cards and a valentine mini album.

Here are picts of the two Valentine's Day Cards. :)
The first one was CASED from the new TAC catalog. I love it sooo much! It uses the Mimi paper. Claret Pallette ink was used as well. The new "Forever" stamp set has got to be my #1 new favorite stamp set in the new catalog!

The next card was inspired by a card in the Summer/Winter TAC catalog. Fun and easy! It uses "Heart-itude" stamp set and our new pastel twill tape! I LOVE the new colors of the twill tape! It is easy to stamp on too.

More Cuties

Wanted to share a picture of my friend JoAnn and her cute journal from our "Escape" to San Antonio with The Angel Company. JoAnn is such a hoot! She goes on scrapbooking cruises and teaches scrapbooking projects! What a life!!! :) A couple years ago at a TAC event, JoAnn made these really cool necklaces out of UTEE (ultra thick embossing enamel) and a mini donut rubber pan. They looked like stones! Such an inspiration!

This cutie project was a bit of a group effort. Uses Mimi paper pack from The Angel Company, chip board alphabet, burnt umber Palette ink pate, and a wooden key holder. Late night preparations for the retreat... allowed a hostile takeover by me in order for this project to get done in time for the "prop swap." Anything for my dearest angels! :)

Cute Projects to Share

I am holding a sign that says "I have been blessed." This fs from the TAC retreat in San Antonio and we were listening to the Martina McBride song ~ "I Have Been Blessed." Blessings, abundances, they are all things that I very much appreciate in my life. It has been a bit of a long, rough, and emotional week in the Dierenfield house this week. So, I think that today I shall share my blessings...

1. My mother-in-law is healing from her surgery.
2. My DH got to go snowmachining this weekend with his AMMO buddies. He deserves a fun day!
3. It has warmed up and and snowed!!!
4. I get to use my new stamps this weekend!!!
5. My friends bring me joy!
6. My sweetie poodles give me unconditional loves and kisses - yucky!
7. The Lord is my Saviour.
I have been blessed! :)

Here is a pict of another project that we did last weekend. Well, we did one very similar... Ours we put into our new 3x3 page protectors and tied it with a bow through the post holes. Same idea though. Too cute, huh! The new flourish stamp sets are soooo cute!!!
Have a great weekend!
Happy stamping!

Waiting at the Airport

Alas, Leadership Conference is over and I am waiting at the San Antonio airport to catch my flight. The weekend FLEW by!!! So much fun!!! Good times. LOLHere we are at the hotel - my roomies and I. Well, half of my roomies! 6 of us shard two rooms - connecting rooms rock! LOL

My favorite project of the weekend was the sample ring of our punches. Using the negative of the punch, we made a sample ring. Great idea! then when you are trying to size a stamp up with a punch, you can lay the punch negative over the stamp to make sure that it will fit. How very cool!

What a fun weekend though! The weather was beautiful in San Antonio. Friends were abundant and inspiration was everywhere!!!

Our first night at the Menger, we decided that we needed to go ghost hunting. So, armed with our cameras, the 6 of us ventured out to the Emily Morgan hotel to try and catch a photo of the Emily. No luck. Then, we hung out at the Alamo visiting with the security guards until almost 2 am. No luck with ghost sightings there either. Then, back to the Menger to the infamous 2nd floor, original part of the hotel where most of the ghost sightings have been reported. No luck there either. The second night, the manager on duty did show us a very cool picture of a ghostly figure in a mirror from the 2nd floor. They called the girl Sarah. We never saw Sarah ourselves though. I don't know what I would have done if we had seen something though - scream! LOL It was fun though! Silly girls! :)

Back to the paper crafting... this was my most favorite idea of the weekend - using a hair band and a photo hanger embellishment. How cool!!! This is a mini album sample. We made a number of mini albums this weekend. I loved them all! Each one was simple, but chic. I can't wait to share them with my friends at home!!! And the new paper from The Angel Company is soo pretty and fun to work with!!! I'll post more pictures later. :)
The news of where seminar will be this summer was released as well. Wichita, KS - look out for angels coming your way in June! I haven't ever been to Wichita, but I am sure that it will be a blast! An event with The Angel Company could be just about anywhere and it would be fun!!!!

San Antonio fun!

I am sooo loving the beautiful weather in San Antonio! It is gorgeous! Warm! No snow! LOL
Thought that I would share my ClubMED prop swap with you - it is a Doodlebug House. I LOVE how it turned out and know that it will find a great home. :) We are swapping tonight.

Also, the red little bag is my ClubMED swap. I cut it out with my new Cricut Expressions. Inside is a little chocolate surprise!!!! :)

The card is made using The Angel Company stamp of the month for January. I LOVE the ice cream!!!!!

Happy stamping!!!!

Off to San Antonio with my Angel friends!

I know that the holidays were just upon us, but I am now just taking my much needed and I think well deserved "holiday break." I worked over most of the holiday break while the rest of the university was closed. But it was sooo worth it! Last Thursday, we held a youth mock deployment at Eielson for 50 youth! It was fantastically fun, despite a couple small minor glitches... like the cold weather wreaking havoc on the HUMVEE - it was frozen solid! The kids were "deployed" for the day, just like their active duty parent might go through when they get deployed. They got to learn how to maneuver the explosive ordinance disposal robots, had a mock transport mission on a KC135 (refueler plane), and learned about some coping skills that can help them during re-integration when their deployed parent returns home, got their faces painted camo style... the works! We also had a time at the end of the day where the kids were able to make welcome home signs for their deployed parents - or a friend's deployed parent, etc. The pride of being a military kid was rampant! :) My favorite part of the day was when the kids were all doing PT - jumping jacks, sit-ups, running, etc. Oh! And the message that the Vice-Wing Commander gave to the kids. It was fabulous!
Anyway, so I am off to San Antonio for a retreat with The Angel Company. It is always so fun to see everyone, share ideas, chit chat, and learn about new products. Nancey left a comment on the previous post that they might not recognize me without my glasses! LOL I didn't' even think about that - and to top it off, I have lost 30 lbs since October. OK... back to the topic at hand... I do have my new camera in my carry-on with me, my laptop, and a transfer cable... so hopefully I will be able to post some photos while we are at The Angel Company winter ESCAPE. I will miss all of you angels that can't be with us in San Antonio - but I know that you will be there in spirit... along with the other spirits at the Menger... LOL
Angels - be sure to check out Paper Wings forum for the ESCAPE online! Julie G. is hosting a fabulous project along with other talented angels! :)
Well, my flight is delayed... go figure! LOL At least I am on the last leg of my travels... sitting in the Dallas airport.

NEW TAC catalog is here!!!

New catalog time!!! It feels kind of a bit like a whirlwind with two catalogs a year now, but that just means double the fun and more stamps, right?! ;) The new paper is just too gorgeous!!! I even have a card in the catalog! I had posted a picture of it back in July on my blog - here it is again. :)

There are these cute matchbook kits, new stamps, fun tools, and more!! If you just gotta have a copy of the new catalog - I am sure I can help you with that.

In the meantime, been busy getting ready for the winter retreat with The Angel Company in San Antonio next week. It is always so fun to see everyone, make new projects, chat, and all that good stuff. And the best part - warm weather! It could be 30 degrees and warm to me! I have to admit, that I see some places in the lower 48 that are almost as chilly as we are this morning at 8 below zero!
Happy Stamping!
